General
Rode is a renowned brand when it comes to high-quality microphones in all shapes and sizes. This HS2 headset microphone is the worthy successor to the popular HS1 headset, as it is lighter, more ergonomic, and features improved cable pull relief. The cable is not detachable, but reinforced with kevlar to prevent cable breakage. The hinge coupler has been replaced by a more flexible construction that makes it easier than ever to manoeuvre the headset in the desired position.

I've been using headset mics for years, and rarely been satisfied with either the sound, or the longevity. I hire to schools and am-dram and the headsets always end up sweating-out (going muffled) or the cables breaking. I was after something better than the £30-50 cheapies, but I cannot spend £500+ on DPAs or Countryman.
These Rode HS2 are the solution for "better" hires where expectations are higher. The sound is clear and easy to eq, they seem to ft all sizes of head well, and so far the ones I have are still working perfectly after several show runs. The cable has all sorts of dire warnings about risk of strangulation because it contains kevlar strands, which is brilliant as it ain't gonna break.
So, very pleased. Excellent crisp sound and they do stand up to hard use.

Sennheiser headset was defect, het alternatief bleek snel gevonden te zijn. Deze Rode headset microfoon doet zeker niet onder.... Fijn dat de oorbeugel zo flexibel is. De mic. zelf kan eenvoudig op de juiste plek gemanoeuvreerd worden. Helemaal top.

Kreeg deze microfoon aangeraden van een kennis omdat ik een iets minder opvallende mic zocht voor een XSW set van Sennheiser. Deze headset past er perfect bij. De eenige complaint die ik heb is de locking schroef, deze is niet free spinning maar zit ook met een schroefdraad op de plug vast waardoor connecten een beetje vervelend is af en toe. Verder prima geluid, vooral voor deze prijs

Heerlijke headset (ik gebruik deze op een Sennheiser g4 zender). Zit dankzij de twee oren stevig op je hoofd. De microfoon boom is lekker lang waardoor het ook op mijn grote hoofd prima af te stellen is bij mijn mond. Geluid is zeker dik in orde als ik kijk maar de prijs van de headset. Komt ook compleet met heel veel accessoires.
Al met al een zeer fijne headset.

Headsets werken zeer slecht op de Rode GO. De input van de headset staat te hoog ingesteld (gaat klippen) en dat kan jezelf niet aanpassen. Het Probleem is bekend bij Rode maar die willen daar vooralsnog niets aan doen!
