General
Paiste's Color Sound 900 series includes cymbals that are designed to make an impression both visually and audibly. Underneath their thin black coating, you'll find these 14-inch hi-hat cymbals are made of Paiste's own CuSn8-Bronze, which is a B8-bronze alloy that's been hammered and aligned by hand. The top hi-hat has a medium weight and the bottom is heavy. This set offers a warm, clear sound with strong stick definition, an articulated chick when closed and a full sound when open. This means it can handle any musical style you want to use it for.
The effect of the coating
Paiste spent years developing the best coating for their Color Sound Series. It needed to be thin enough so the hand-hammered patterns and grooves were still clearly visible. The colour is also extremely durable so even after intensive use, it won't scratch, get damaged, or flake off. At the end of the day, this cymbal will provide a great sound and colour for years to come!
