General

The first thing you'll surely notice about this 20-inch ride is its unique black coating. It's been applied in a thin layer on this Paiste CuSn8-Bronze (B8-bronze) cymbal, which has been hammered and aligned by hand for a full sound with warm undertones. The coating not only gives this ride a unique look, it also ensures a slightly drier sound and shorter sustain as well as a more responsive attack compared to Paiste's uncoated cymbals. The bell runs smoothly into the bow and delivers a well-defined ping. Thanks to this cymbal's wide tonal range, it's great for any type of music.
