General

The LD Systems U506 IEM kits out engineers and performers with a solid and professional in-ear system. Part of the U500 Series, the 506 operates over the 655-679 MHz frequency band, offers 12 to 96 selectable channels, and an adjustable output power of 2, 10, or 30mW RF. You don't have to be a pro technician to set up this system either, since the transmitter and receiver are synchronised via an infrared signal that's activated at the push of a button and boasts a range of approximately one-hundred metres.

The LD Systems U506 IEM: Further Features

The LD Systems U506 IEM has been fitted with a clear OLED display that can be used to scroll through up to ten custom presets, each of which can be assigned a unique user name. Meanwhile, excellent monitoring sound is backed up by three-band EQ controls and parametric mid-frequency tweaking options, as well as a squelch-circuit and limiter. The transmitter even comes fitted with a convenient headphone output for direct monitoring. In short, the U506 IEM covers every base.

The LD Systems U506 IEM is an addition to my world of in-ear monitoring. Having previously used wired, I’m venturing into operating within the 655–679 MHz frequency range.
The system can transmit audio frequencies between 50 Hz to 16 kHz. Not quite the full range of human hearing, but I can hear my 4 string Bass OK, my vocals are clear and I’m not getting interference either. The range is impressive, the transmitter was inside, I was outside 75m away with not interference or drop out.
The U506 transmitter is housed in a rugged metal chassis with an intuitive interface featuring a bright OLED display. Setup is straightforward, press the button, use the automatic infrared synchronization. The receiver, lightweight and ergonomic, my only reservation is that it’s plastic rather than metal. I’ll just have to look after it properly then.

Zeer fijne/eenvoudige low-budget in ear monitor set. Geluidskwaliteit en bereik zijn erg goed. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is ook erg goed. Aanrader als instapmodel

Overgestapt van een goedkoper systeem naar dit In-ear monitor systeem: wat een verademing. We horen de lage tonen, de hoge tonen en ook nog stereo!
Wel merk ik een klein reuteltje op de lijn, maar dat vervalt wanneer je muziek afspeelt.
