General
With Best Service Desert Winds, you can immediately start adding Middle Eastern instruments to your sound. In addition to a duduk (the same Armenian clarinet featured in 'Gladiator'), a Persian ney (an extremely expressive flute that's perfect for simulating the sound of storms), a Turkish ney and a zurna (a nasal, snake charmer-like flute sound), you get a welcome collection of soundscapes. If you're into soundtracking films, video games or documentaries, then Desert Winds is a superb addition to your virtual studio.
Best Service Desert Winds
These virtual instruments by no means sound sterile. They're packed with life and character, support overblowing, and are incredibly addictive to play. The included collection of soundscapes, meanwhile, help fill in the details and even include a number of more synthetic sounds — similar to the ambient patches you get with synths from the '90s, just way more organic.
