IK Multimedia Clavitube for SampleTank 4 (DOWNLOAD)

Clavitube by IK Multimedia is an extensive sample library of the Hohner® designed clavinet and taken from the personal collection of progressive rock keyboardist Erik Norlander. The library consists of 1.6 gigabytes of samples and some 250 presets that you can use like this in SampleTank 4. These instruments are captured with incredible detail and with multiple pickup settings: the D6 known for its beautiful wooden top and the more 'road'-oriented E7 model with its black tolex case. Initially designed as a portable/mobile instrument, the clavinet quickly gained huge popularity in the 70s in the rock and funk world. One name that immediately springs to mind is of course that of Stevie Wonder, who with his 'Superstition' hit immediately helped this instrument into glorious history.

Similar to an electric guitar

Thanks to its single-coil element, the clavinet is immediately reminiscent of an electric guitar. In particular, the 'Castlebar' system, which owes its name to designer Buddy Castle, including the wide type of vibrato and the 'bends', closely resembles a tremolo arm. The percussive sound and 'stringy' characteristics have been sampled multilayer, making the realism unprecedented. Also, the instrument is combined with three different amplifiers from IK Multimedia's AmpliTube library where the wah wah, phaser and chorus effects are selectable from the said library.
