Many in-the-box producers know a fair bit of synth history. Perhaps not even because one has had those synths oneself, but because the most famous synths are emulated on all sides these days. And yes, names are familiar, the Minimoog, the CS80, the Jupiter 8, the Prophet. Everyone has those by now. But of course, these were not the only vintage synthesisers. But by no means everything is equally well known. Soniccouture The Attic 2 is a collection of sampled old synthesizers, and specifically the unknown synthesizers that don't get a big 'from the old days' page in the magazines. Think of names like the Philips Philacorda, the Moog Minitmoog (and that is indeed not a typo) and the Logan Vocalist. All have their own sound character, and it could be exactly the sound you were still missing from your collection.
