General
The Neumann U 89 i mt puts a modern spin on the world-renowned U 87, featuring a larger dynamic range, a smaller-and-lighter build, and five selectable pickup patterns — all without compromising on the characteristic sound of one the world's most-used studio microphones. This top-tier large-diaphragm condenser microphone also boasts a surprisingly uncoloured off-axis response, which means it can be used for anything from recording vocals and instruments to serving as an overhead or room mic.
