Sennheiser MK8 condenser microphone

To follow the MK4, Sennheiser have developed the MK8: a condenser microphone at an affordable price. The difference between the two is that the MK8 has a switchable pickup pattern. A gold-spattered diaphragm of 1 inch provides a pleasant warm sound. The microphone is excellently well suited for amplifying drums as an overhead, but can also be used to record percussion or brass instruments. The MK8 can handle a high sound pressure of 140 dB SPL and is therefore well suited for loud sound sources. The finish of this microphone is of the highest quality, as we have come to expect from Sennheiser.

Sennheiser MK8, switchable pickup pattern

The MK8 offers you a choice of several pickup patterns. You can choose from a cardioid, hyper-cardioid, omnidirectional and figure-eight pickup pattern. This makes this microphone well suited for studio as well as live applications. It is solid enough to endure life on the road, but provides you with enough possibilities to serve as a studio microphone. All in all, this is a versatile microphone.

Accessories

The Sennheiser MK8 is delivered including a rugged microphone clip and protective cover. An optional shockmount, the MKS4, is also available.
