The KSM44A/SL is a condenser microphone, equipped with not one but two diaphragms that have a section of one inch! These large diaphragms have all the quality that you have come to expect from Shure: they are ultra-thin, have a low mass and are made with 24-Carat gold-leaf, to ensure great performances! The Class A preamps in their turn ensure a great amplification of the signal, whereby the signal remains unchanged in sound character. Just like the preamp and diaphragms, the other electronic components are of high quality as well, while the internal and external connectors are made with gold-leaf. All in all, everything is in place for the best performances without distortion!

The frequency range of the microphone reaches from 20 Hz to 20 kHz and is dynamic and optimised for high-quality recording of vocals and acoustic instruments. The microphone is also equipped with an adjustable pickup pattern: you can choose between cardioid, omnidirectional and bi-directional. This way, you can easily record the sound source in the precise way that you want to.
