General
The marriage of the Metallica frontman, James Hetfield and ESP has lasted almost 30 years already, leaving a mighty fistful of stunning shred-machines in its wake. During the last few years, James has often been seen toting his ESP Snakebyte: a variant of the EX guitars he's preferred for decades already and, just like James' actual sidekick, the Japanese-built ESP Snakebyte features a solid mahogany body and mahogany neck that combine to lay down a tight and defined, muscular foundation sound. The addition of an ebony fretboard tightens up the sound further while giving this model its deluxe look and boosted playing comfort. Finished with the supreme resonant transfer of a stable TOM-bridge and tailpiece, this edition of the Snakebyte brings high-precision quality and comes complete with a form-fitting case. This is the left-handed edition.
The ESP Snakebyte LH: A Flawless Shred-Monster
To ensure fully optimised, thick and variable output, this six-string offering comes mounted with a pair of James Hetfield's own EMG humbuckers, so you're getting the clarity and punch of passive pickups alongside the legendary active sound that generations of Metallica fans have grown up with. There's no need for any tone controls here, so ESP have fitted nothing more than a pair of volume pots and a three-way switch, while tuning stability and quick string-changes are guaranteed by a set of Sperzel locking tuners. Whether you're a Hetfield fan or not, this model basically satisfies on every level.
