Thus, this Small-edite of Cyclone has released an improved version of its ingenious 3D-Tex housing. More possibilities

With the updated Cyclone windscreen comes a number of interesting features. One very practical feature, for example, is to accommodate a whole new range of microphones. Previously, this was not possible. So you can now fit shotgun microphones in addition to compact condenser microphones. Because Rycote has applied the exclusive 'Floating Basket Suspension' principle to all its new Cyclone screens, this is no longer an issue. Rycote's familiar suspension system is designed to absorb vibrations and shocks as best as possible. Indeed, with this new system, vibrations are tackled at the source so that they cannot be further transmitted to the rest of the structure or travel through the air to cause interference. Each Cyclone is equipped with this, and here the combined weight of the basket and the specified microphone has been considered. This is to achieve maximum isolation.
