Rycote delivers a highly effective windshield with this updated Cyclone series. But, it is much more than that. For example, the ingenious Z-locking system allows you to dismantle the basket very quickly to release the integrated shock absorber. The other way round, by the way, works just as quickly. Besides being easy to maintain - after all, you no longer need long-haired dead cats - the acclaimed 3D-Tex material has also been improved. This has resulted in even better attenuation of background noise and vibrations, keeping the sound to be recorded neutral and true to nature. Moreover, it is more durable and easy to clean and keep clean.

Organic design

The design of this Cyclone can safely be called organic. Nowhere will you find straight lines or shapes running parallel to each other. The result is a more neutral sound as vibrations and impact noise are better absorbed. Wind noise in particular is superbly attenuated. In addition, the material is lightweight, which is pleasant to work with. You can use the Cyclone in the harshest (weather) conditions as the material is specially designed for this purpose. Reliable and consistent in performance - that is what the Cyclone stands for in a nutshell.

Application

This Small version of the Cyclone is particularly suitable for smaller condenser microphones and shorter shotgun microphones. You can position these microphones optimally because the so-called 'brackets' positioned in the Lyre shock mount are removable. This way, you can position your microphone under almost any circumstances. Also inventive is the patented 'Floating Basket Supsension' principle. This, combined with the 3D-Tex material forms the ultimate shock absorber for absorbing impact noise and vibration. This is because this is dealt with at the source so the basket does not make contact with the microphone itself or the suspension. Each cyclone comes with a unique basket suspension based on the combined weight of the basket and the specified microphone.
