General

If you're forced to spend a lot of time on the road, a little keyboard and your laptop are going to be your best travel-production buddies. While it's a little larger than most portable USB/MIDI keyboards, the Arturia KeyStep 37 makes room for three octaves across 37 smaller but smooth playing keys. To connect to the rest of your gear, a USB-MIDI, DIN-MIDI, and CV/Gate port has been fitted, so as well as your laptop, you can even do fun stuff like play along with your Eurorack system. Of course, since this is an Arturia conception, you also get a nice bunch of controllers for steering plug-ins.

The Arturia KeyStep 37: A Box of Ideas

The most essential features of this keyboard are the arpeggiator and sequencer and the ability to note down little melodies and other nuggets of gold while in a DAW while on location. The KeyStep, therefore, has been designed as a kind of idea-machine, and that's exactly why you would add this potent tool to your bag. Just in case you don't have a DAW, Arturia have been kind enough to include a copy of Ableton Live Lite, which, combined with a laptop, gives you a complete mobile studio.

Arturia KeyStep 37 USB/MIDI Keyboard

Love this little midi controller already! It has a great build quality, and the arp function is really fun to mess around with. Did take me a while to get it working with logic using Arturia's software, but that was my fault, because I had messed around with the little double clock selector switch on the back and set it to USB, thinking that was the correct setting. It turns out this was preventing a proper connection with the software.

Arturia KeyStep 37 USB/MIDI Keyboard

Really good starter midi controller. Easy to use and flexible enough to suit more advanced needs too. I bought it with a Waldorf Streichfett, and they’re a wonderful combination!

Arturia KeyStep 37 USB/MIDI Keyboard

Excellent little midi keyboard with some amazing functionality, Arps, sequencing, chord modes, midi CC control - it’s all there and the ‘Strum’ mode is inspiring.

Arturia KeyStep 37 USB/MIDI Keyboard

A good price for excellent equipment, delivered on time. I was somewhat miffed however to find that the price had dropped even further while it was in the post. Doh!

Delivered fast and on time. Always a pleasure with Bax, and the price on this brilliant keyboard is roughly 1/3 better than anywhere else.

Arturia KeyStep 37 USB/MIDI Keyboard

I bought the Arturia Keystep 37 for its comprehensive selection of control options, three octaves of keys and reputation of sturdy construction. I was not disappointed. The price was unbeatable and it arrived beautifully packaged. I had one slight issue that I was prepared to let go, but the customer service employees that I encountered went out of their way to make me completely happy. On the basis of this one transaction, I have to recommend BAX-Music. If anyone encounters a problem it's likely to be at least partly his or her own fault in my view. Good work BAX.
