General
Not many people are able to afford the renowned, huge consoles by Solid State Logic (SSL). With the introduction of the SSL Nucleus, however, that changed. This professional DAW controller features a high-grade, built-in audio interface and a monitor section, and comes with the Duende Native plugin bundle. It offers everything you need for professional audio recording and gives you full, intuitive control over your DAW. Meanwhile, the integrated Duende plugins take your mixes to the next level.
Nucleus: The Beating Heart of your Studio
The Solid State Logic Nucleus is the ideal controller for DAW-based music and AV production applications. It allows you to control three different DAWs at the same time - you can simply switch from one to the other with the push of a button. A 2x2 audio interface delivers superior sound quality and offers two inputs for your microphones and instruments. Of course it's also possible to plug in your studio monitors, two pairs of headphones, and any optional external peripherals. The Nucleus' optical S/PDIF inputs and outputs can be used as channels 3-4.
DAW Integration
For communication purposes, the SSL Nucleus uses an Ethernet port and the HUI or MCU protocol, making it suitable for virtually any DAW, including Live, Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase and Nuendo. You'll never have to resort to your computer mouse again, as the Nucleus gives you full control over your software. The Duende Essentials bundle that comes with the DAW controller consists of two plugins: the classic SSL Channel Strip and a Stereo Bus Compressor, modelled after the world-famous consoles from the 1980s G series.
