To make the game-changing Helix concept accessible to anyone, Line 6 serve up a stripped-down version of the holy-grail of the guitar multi-effect processing universe: the Line 6 Helix LT. Built for guitar as well as bass, the LT might be a little more lightweight and manageable for the restless, gig-loaded musician; it might also comes at a lighter price, but that definitely doesn't mean that this hunk of hardware is not a genuine Helix. You get an immense library of 104 high-grade effects to browse through, all backed up by a renowned dual-processor; you get a stack of 62 amplifier simulations, 37 cabinets, and 16 virtual microphone set-ups. Basically all of the tools for shaping your sound from scratch either via the unit itself, or your computer.

The Helix LT: Universal Access

The Helix LT also comes loaded with more than enough inputs and outputs for seamless integration with any set-up. Simply plant it between your guitar and amp and use it as a standard stompbox-rammed pedalboard, or even remove your amp altogether, and send a full virtually-amplified signal directly to the PA or mixer. Combine both options, and decide whether you want to include the sound of your amp in the mix per setting. Basically, if you want something that matches your practical intuition as well as your creative impulse, the Helix LT is it.
