Digitech Drop + Cables

Tuning down your guitar or bass guitar has never been easier than with the Digitech Drop. This effect pedal is the Drop-Tune part of the Whammy DT. In other words, with one kick of the knob you can instantly adjust the pitch of your instrument downwards. Via a rotary knob, you choose from nine options: from a semitone to as much as a whole octave down. The ninth option of the Digitech Drop is an octave down plus the dry sound, for a typical octaver effect. In this set, the stompbox comes with 2 instrument cables.

Digitech Drop: polyphonic drop-tuning

Unlike other pitch shift pedals, the Digitech Drop does allow you to play more than one single note. This is because this stompbox uses the same polyphonic pitch-shifting algorithms as the Whammy DT. So you can play entire chords without delay or annoying glitches. Whether you're down a semitone, seven semitones or even an octave, the Digitech Drop accurately and instantly reproduces both single notes and chords.

Momentary or latching

Besides a rotary knob, you will also find a mini-switch on the Digitech Drop that allows you to change the function of the footswitch. In Latching mode, the push button functions as a normal on/off button. If you set the switch to Momentary, the effect stays on as long as you hold the button down with your foot. This allows you to quickly switch between two different pitches while playing, to create dizzying hammer-on and pull-off effects.
