General

The JBL EON One Compact is an enormously useful mobile PA speaker that's built to complete any conferences or smaller live setups. This battery powered speaker is active, removing the need for an external amplifier or power point. The many parameters of the built-in amp can also be tweaked remotely from a phone or tablet using the compatible app that also offers the tools to create and save custom presets, whether standing in front of the stage, or behind the microphone. Just as vital as the flexibility of the EON One Compact is the quality of sound which, thanks to renowned DBX and Lexicon onboard effects, and mounted speakers that boast a little more bottom-end and volume than standard speakers of this kind, the sound is just as consistent, powerful and flexible.

The JBL Eon One Compact is definitely a portable PA speaker since, while weighing 8kg, it's still capable of pushing 118dB. The integrated four-channel mixer comes with two combo XLR/TRS inputs supported by solid preamps and phantom power for condenser microphones; a guitar input and a mini-jack input that can be tweaked using EQ options, reverb, chorus, and delay effects. The battery can be fully charged within 2.5 hours and run cable-free for up to 12 hours and, if you need a touch more juice than this, an extra battery can also be bought separately. This active speaker also has a pass-through output so that two JBL EON Compacts can be linked up for full stereo sound and, since it's Bluetooth capable, music can be streamed from a phone or tablet while you're busy shaping your personalised presets using the app.
