The Strymon NightSky: Break Through Conventions

For the NightSky, the goal set by the team of developers at Strymon was to break through traditional reverb conventions while paying tribute to the experimental sounds shaped on stages around the world during the past few decades. The heart of this unique effects pedal is formed by the variable rate core, which comes with the addition of a complete modulation section, a 4-pole resonant filter and a special voice section. Besides this, there are three reverb textures you can pick from to build your foundation sound: Spare, Dense and Diffuse. Once you select the one that suits your style, anything from sparkling cleans, shimmer, glimmer, swells, reverse and more becomes possible.

On the Practical Side of Things

Strymon have equipped the NightSky with an instrument/line level switch to make sure it can be used with a wide variety of instruments, while the fitted stereo inputs and outputs guarantee massive sound. For even more sonic control, you can hook up an expression pedal (not included), and any new favourite sounds can be saved to one of the 16 user preset slots the pedal is home to. If that doesn't cut it for you, rest assured that via MIDI, you can access another 300 presets.
