General

The Duesenberg Custom Starplayer TV Hanover Gold is a limited edition from 2026 and immediately catches the eye with its striking finish. The gold-coloured lacquer on the top and headstock is enriched with metallic particles and finished by hand. The back and sides are finished in matt black, creating a beautiful contrast with the gleaming gold top. But what makes it truly special lies beneath the surface: the lacquer reacts to skin oils, playing wear and even the way you clean the guitar. Over time, this creates a unique ageing effect. No two guitars age in exactly the same way.

Tried-and-tested Duesenberg quality

Beneath that striking finish lies the solid semi-acoustic construction you’ve come to expect from the Starplayer TV series, featuring a sustain block, curved sides and an f-hole. The top is made of spruce, whilst the sides and back are made of maple. The one-piece maple neck with a Medium D profile and an Indian rosewood fingerboard ensures a familiar playing comfort across the entire neck. The fingerboard has been treated with PLEK, after which the guitar has been hand-adjusted by a luthier, ensuring the Custom Starplayer TV is buzz-free and offers a consistent playing experience right from the moment it’s delivered!

Domino P90 and GrandVintage humbucker

In terms of tone, the Starplayer TV combines a Duesenberg Domino P90 in the neck position with a GrandVintage humbucker in the bridge position, both featuring an ‘aged’ finish that complements the ‘relic’ nickel-plated hardware. You control the whole thing with one volume and one tone knob, plus a 3-way pickup selector switch. The Sapphire Deluxe Tremolo delivers expressive tremolo effects without compromising tuning stability, which is also kept well under control thanks to the Duesenberg Z-Tuners. It comes as standard in the Duesenberg Custom Line case. In short, the Duesenberg Custom Starplayer TV Hanover Gold is a unique instrument that changes in appearance over time, but never loses its rock-solid sound.
