Made from two layers of mylar with a dot planted in the centre of the underside, the ultra-durable Remo BX-0814-10 snare drumhead has been given a Black Suede coating for a little mid-range emphasis. This batter head is so strong, it's the ideal partner for harder styles and drummers with a heavier strike.

Great sounding snare head, combined it with a hazy emperor to get a very thick, fat snare that still oozes crack and volume, yet still articulate enough for delicate playing. And its coated so can work with brushes! Better suited to heavier styles but worth it all the more as it still holds up for lighter stuff. Looks great too, great price here on Bax

Wrote the following about Remo BX-0814-10 Emperor X Black Suede Dot 14" Snare Drumhead

Zeer goed vel. Mooi afgewerkt zoals altijd bij Remo. Klinkt heel goed. Ideaal voor pop/rock. Het vel heeft genoeg punch/attack en power maar heeft ook een lange sustain. Door de 'dot' aan de onderkant blijft dat wel binnen de perken zodat je snare niet lang doorklinkt. Die dot zorgt ook nog eens voor een langere levensduur van het vel. De zwarte kleur moet je van houden. Veel invloed op het geluid heeft het niet.
