General

Ludwig is the most famous name in drumming and the legendary Black Beauty snare drum played a big part in that. This drum is made of a single layer of brass, which is crafted into a seamless shell with a remarkable nickel-plated finish. The Black Beauty offers a warm sound that is often imitated, but never duplicated.

Ludwig LB417KT Black Beauty 14 x 6.5-inch snare drum: Hammered

The Black Beauty LB417KT snare drum has a 14-inch diameter and is 6.5 inches deep. It features the P85 Supra-Phonic snare strainer, 10 lugs and 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops. The outside of the shell is hammered to give it a remarkable look. With its excellent response at every volume level, the Black Beauty once again proves it is still the ultimate snare drum, even 80 years after its release.
