PDP Drums takes the designation "wooden snare" very seriously indeed with this Concept 20-Ply Wood Hoop Maple! The snare drum's shell consists of no less than 20(!) layers of maple wood and the tensioning rim is not your standard metal rim: it too is made of extra-thick maple wood. The result is a warm, balanced snare that can really be used perfectly all-round. The snare is packed with musical overtones and really comes alive, especially in the mid- to high tuning. The shell also features DW Drums hardware, a carbon steel string mat for tremendous precision and Remo drumheads.
