General
Some mixers have inputs that can switch between line level signals and microphone signals, but not all of them do. For the latter, Shure developed the A15LA attenuator, which reduces the level of an incoming audio signal by 50 dB so that the input or channel won't be damaged by connecting a line-level output source to a microphone input.
