The Adam A4V

Loaded with a ribbon-tweeter and four-inch woofer - a rare size that you'd usually only find in a three-way setup with a mid-woofer - the A4V delivers a more-than-decent frequency response of 53Hz to 42kHz. And while the 42kHz point can only really be enjoyed by passing bats, the higher frequencies are treated with superb articulation thanks to that extra range. Basically, the A4V is an outstanding studio monitor for smaller spaces, whether it's a home-studio setup in a bedroom or a tight studio control room - offering the level of performance you would only expect from an Adam model, just in a tighter form.

Sonarworks

Not even the most expensive studio monitor can deliver truly honest audio if the acoustics of the room aren't up to snuff. Fortunately, the Adam A4V also features a built-in Sonarworks filter which can be combined with the highly praised Sonarworks software and a measurement microphone (not included) to analyse the listening space and draw up a custom graphic EQ based on the measurements that compensates for any suboptimal acoustics. That EQ comes in the form of a DAW effect, or in this case a custom Sonarworks profile that can be uploaded to the monitor to prepare it for flawless performance anywhere - another excellent argument for investing in the Adam A-Series.
