Features of the HEDD Type 30

To understand how this first-class active studio monitor is able to reproduce such immaculate sound, you have to consider its design. The Type 30 MK2 is a 3-way speaker, which means it's equipped with a woofer, a mid-range and a ribbon-tweeter (HEDD AMT). Here, the mid-range takes a load off the woofer, ensuring it doesn't have to reproduce any frequencies below the ones the ribbon-tweeter takes care of. As a result, the physical movement of the woofers is more efficient and any reproduced audio is tighter, allowing for the eased mixing of speech and vocals. What's also great is that the Type 30 MK2 has been outfitted with a Lineariser to tighten up the phases. Add everything up, and you're looking at a 32 to 40,000Hz frequency range, in other words, the numbers needed to mix literally anything.
