Arturia MiniBrute Red analogue synthesizer

The MiniBrute Red by Arturia is a limited edition, extremely exclusive product. Under the bonnet, it's exactly like the original grey/black MiniBrute, but with one big difference that will set the crimson in your cheeks on fire—its bright red housing and white controls. It's a 25-note monophonic synthesizer, meaning it's best-used as a lead instrument. Don't underestimate what this little red engine can do—it isn't called MiniBrute for nothing!

Features of the Arturia MiniBrute

The reason this synthesizer sounds so brutal is because of its oscillators. In total, you've got five at your disposal (Sawtooth, Block, Triangle, Noise, and Sub) and an audio input as well. You can use the Sawtooth to create an Ultra-Saw effect (similar to a chorus) and the Block Wave for a pulsing modulation. The triangle oscillator features the Metalizer which also enables you to alter the sound radically. In a nutshell, the MiniBrute offers more sounds than you'll know what to do with that can be used for leads and other sounds effects.

The finishing touch

When you want this synth to open up and really wail, then turn up the Brute Factor rotary knob to add a rough edge to your sound. The MiniBrute features a great-sounding filter (LP, HP, BP, notch) and a pair of envelopes (filter & amplitude) as well as a comprehensive LFO section, adjustable routing for mod wheel and aftertouch, and a creative arpeggiator as the cherry on top.
