Fijne stekkers die mooi compact zijn voor op het Pedalboard. Werkt goed met mijn Eventide pedalen.

De TB-03 gekocht ter vervanging van een Behringer TD-3. Die doet natuurlijk wel wat hij moet doen, maar het blijft een goedkoop plastic ding. De metalen behuizing van de Roland voelt beter. Hij programmeert wat makkelijker in Step-mode, de toevoeging van het display is een plus. De effecten zijn mwah, maar wel beter dan de distortion van de Behringer. Het is een Boutique ding, dus de controls zijn klein, maar toch te bedienen met mijn kolenschoppen. Ook makkelijk dat je de hoogte / hoek kunt verstellen.

Wat ik vind tegenvallen is a) het ontbreken van een volume control op de frontplate (die zit op de achterkant), b) enkel USB power, en c) enkel mini-jack out.

Maar ik ben er blij mee, ik vind de Roland het prijsverschil meer dan waard. Ik heb een veel grotere grijns op de bek dan bij de Beheringer.

Prima machine, ga experimenteren (tweaken) en er komen werkelijk goede klanken uit! Loopt ook lekker in sync met de analoge machines en de workflow is snel onder de knie te krijgen. Niks ten nadele van het origineel of de klonen van de 606, maar deze is in mijn beleving toch echt een tikkeltje strakker in sound.

De tb-303 in een nieuwe behuizing maar met behoud van de oude klassieke looks. Instant satisfaction of is het gewoon nostalgie?

De boutique lijn van Roland staat erom bekend dat de controls erg klein zijn. Bij de tb-03 ervaar je daar weinig hinder van. De grootte is perfect; een werkbaar en handzaam apparaat.

De ingebouwde effecten (3xoverdrive/distortion; 2xdelay en reverb) zijn goed op elkaar afgestemd.

De bouwkwaliteit is niet echt heel stevig. Niet flimsy, maar ik zie open ruimstes in het plastic en tussen de leds en de behuizing. Dat vind ik wel jammer.

De nostalgische looks hebben wel een down-side. De geprogrammeerde patterns zijn minder overzichtelijk. Bij de tb3 is dit gewoon beter.

Het ingebouwde speakertje is niet zo krachtig maar doet wel precies wat je wilt. Anywhere en anytime kun je baslijnen programmeren. De tb is hierdoor mijn schetsblok.

Helemaal te bedienen zoals de originele en klankgewijs komt hij heel dicht in de buurt. Een toekomstig verzamelding goed zorg van dragen en hij zal nooit in waarde dalen.
