Evans has been producing high-quality tom heads for years, and the G12 Coated can certainly be counted among them. These toms are coated, giving a warmer sound with less resonance. This tom skin is single-ply with the durability of a double-ply skin thanks to 20% extra thickness. Because it is single-ply, the sound is richer with a longer sustain. This also increases the sensitivity of the tomvel. With a diameter of 14 inches, you can use the G12 Coated for both studio and gigs.

• In mid-2019, Evans changed the logo on the sheets. It used to have 'Level 360' on it, which is no longer the case with the new sheets. The sheets with 'Level 360' on them are still in circulation, so you might receive one with or without that text. Otherwise, the sheet is completely the same. All sheets are still delivered in the old box, which will also be replaced at the end of 2019.
