If you're a guitarist and singer that loves their effects pedals, you'll know that carrying around a bunch of them can be quite a hassle. Luckily, BOSS has a solution! The VE-8 Acoustic Singer is a guitar and vocal effects pedal in one! It features sections and inputs for both your guitar and your microphone and it has a built-in looper. In the output section, you can adjust the volume levels of your guitar and vocals separately for the optimal mix. With this pedal, you can plug directly into any PA system.

Glorious Harmony with the VE-8

The VE-8 has a number of great effects on board. Your guitar sound can be drenched in various modulation effects that can be enabled and disabled using the left footswitch. While you naturally have reverb, (that can be applied to both guitar and vocals) one of this pedal's best features is the Harmony effect. 9 types of harmony are available and are generated by a preselected key or depend on the chords you're playing. Finally, the pedal has a built-in looper, so you can use your guitar and your voice to create an impressive wall of sound.

Inputs and Outputs

The BOSS VE-8 Acoustic singer has a jack input for your guitar and an XLR input for your microphone with switchable phantom power. What's more, to allow you to play along to your favourite music, it also has a mini-jack aux input, as well as two XLR outputs and two jack outputs. If you need to rehearse in silence, this pedal also has a mini-jack headphone output, and there's even a USB-B connector to connect the VE-8 to your computer. To switch between the built-in presets, you can get an optional footswitch (the BOSS FS-5U, FS-6 or FS-7). While you can power the device using the included power supply, it will also work on batteries. Get ready to take the stage by storm, with the VE-8 by BOSS!

Ik heb een uitgebreide review op gitaarnet.nl/forum staan. Samenvatting. Pluspunten. Hij kan heel veel. Flexibele routing van de XLR- en jack uitgangen. Prima Looper ook voor langere stukken. Bruikbare 3 bands EQ voor zang en gitaar apart. 48 V phantom power. Enhance voor de zang, soort compressor. Acoustic Resonance, alsof je een mic voor je gitaar zet. Mute functie met tuner. Meerdere effecten tegelijk mogelijk. Vocale harmonizer met akkoorden detect, wel zuiver zingen! Vocal Bypass, handig voor aankondigingen. Aux in voor backing tracks enz. Tevens USB audio interface via USB. Stevige voetschakelaars. Basis sound is prima voor gitaar en zang.

Minpuntjes. GEEN COMPRESSOR vd gitaar, echt een gemis. Stroom eraf, loops weg. Pitch correctie maakt de zang wat kunstmatig. Bediening is niet altijd even handig en duidelijk, veel combinaties van knoppen indrukken. Schakelende voeding, kan brom oppikken.

Wat een geweldig apparaat. Precies wat ik zocht als zanger gitarist. Ik heb diverse apparaten gehad met heel veel mogelijkheden maar in de praktijk zoek je 1 of 2 goede basissounds voor je gitaar en zang. Verder zocht ik eigenlijk iets waar ik de vrijheid heb om direct de reverb per situatie aan te passen zonder helmaal in de details te moeten gaan. Gewoon simpel direct aan de knop. Ene zaal bezit van zichzelf al galm terwijl ander helemaal droog geluid geeft. Dit kan op dit apparaat super simpel en alles simpel gescheiden voor gitaar en zang. Ook de looper heb ik nog maar net geprobeerd en word ik nu al blij van. Mooie kwaliteit voor de reverb en alles intuïtief te bedienen. Heb er nu al direct paar keer mee opgetreden en nog even verder uittesten maar ben er nu al helemaal blij mee.
