Impressively powerful, versatile and scalable, the PRX912 12 inch full-range PA speaker features JBL's most up-to-date acoustic innovations to support unbelievably clear and crisp trebles and natural-sounding, fluid basses and mids. Even when the volume has been pushed all the way up, you're treated to a detailed, clean and undistorted audio response, and thanks to the advanced convection cooling system, the performance is uninterrupted by any fans or mechanical cooling. Everything comes sealed inside a near-indestructible polypropylene and talk housing that's able to withstand long touring schedules while keeping things ultra-lightweight, and since it comes finished with a 35mm stand flange and M10 mounting points, this speaker has been set up for fixed installation as well as touring rigs.

Built for Power

The technology wrapped up inside the PRX912 combines a powerful and efficient Class-D amplifier, a special 'bridged' woofer, an amplifier and PFC power supply and more. The amplifier delivers an immense 1,000 Watt RMS output and is able to handle 2,000 Watt peaks with minimum effort. The woofer amp design is able to remove surge peaks and reduces crosstalk with the compression driver so that every component is left to concentrate fully on the right frequencies. High-quality DAC and ADC is also provided to support high-quality audio conversion and virtually non-existent distortion, and what's also pretty special, is the internal gyrosensor which automatically adjusts the tuning when this speaker is set up to serve as stage monitor.

The pumping heart that lies at the core of the PRX900 is an incredibly extensive sound processor. This potent DSP can be fully adjusted from a safe distance using the JBL Pro Connect app - or using the set of controls and full-colour LCD screen found on the rear panel. Activate a range of options including a twelve-band parametric EQ or take advantage of a bank of pre-configured settings, each of which have been fully optimised for this system. Other DSP functions include automatic feedback suppression, soft system limiters and a speaker delay of up to 180ms in 100ms intervals so your entire speaker system can be perfectly aligned. Via the app, up to ten speakers can be controlled at the same time - a control system which covers the JBL EON ONE MK2, PRX ONE and EON700 speakers as well as the PRX900 Series speakers.
