JBL’s EON series has sprung yet another amazing speaker: the EON612. This 12-inch active 2-way speaker is a true gem for you and your audience to marvel at. It features a rugged wooden bass-reflex housing with a built-in Bluetooth interface. As we’ve come to expect from JBL, this too is a speaker of exceptional quality.
JBL EON612: outstanding technology
All the individual components of their speakers are made by JBL themselves, assuring that they are all perfectly in tune with one another. This 12-inch speaker is great for use as both an all-round speaker and a monitor speaker. Its innovative waveguide technology assures an optimal tonal balance with perfect bass tones, mids and trebles. What’s more, JBL fitted the EON62 with a built-in mixer and a preamplifier so you can plug in a microphone directly. Thanks to its built-in Bluetooth functionality you can easily adjust the speaker’s settings via your tablet or mobile phone. Also, you can use the EG presets or 5-band EQ on the back to adjust the EON612’s timbre.
EON612: practical speaker
JBL gave some careful consideration to the EON612’s design and fitted it with rugged handles for easy transportation, while also doubling as monitor stands. This speaker is a true gem by JBL that offers excellent sound quality.

Ik heb 2 stuks nu 1 week in bezit en al een aantal keer gebruikt tijdens een theatervoorstelling.
Klank is goed, hoog is voor sommige mensen misschien iets te schel, maar dat is via de interne eq functie goed af te regelen.
De eon Connect app werkt ook prima op mijn XZ1 Compact.
Door de 12inch laag driver is er geen diepe bas of sub.
Daar heb je echt een subwoofer voor nodig.

Bassen komen geweldig door als je in een zaal zit voor buiten of in een tent zou ik toch een sub speaker mee nemen.
Het gewicht van deze speaker is echt geweldig.. zo kan je zelf de speaker op het einde van de avond van de statief tillen zonder dat je rug tegen gaat werken...

Ook mindere ervaringen. Belangrijkste is dat wij er een DOA (dead on arrival) kregen. Terug gestuurd, en na enkele dagen een bevestiging. Daarna vooral stil, bellen maar niet op voorraad. Weer bellen, is de speaker nou in reparatie, krijgen we een nieuwe? Uiteindelijk in overleg een nieuwe gekregen. Zodoende bijna vier weken zonder speaker gezeten en moeten inhuren.
Als iets belangrijke criteria zijn betreft het betrouwbaarheid en service. Hier laat JBL het merk onwaardig grote steken vallen. We zijn zonder meer tevreden over Bax, dit keer op belangrijke criteria even minder. Uiteindelijk goed opgelost maar vertrouwen komt te voet en gaat te paard mensen.

Hierbij moet wel opgemerkt worden dat op de site van Conrad nog steeds de 'oude' prijs vermeld staat. Waarschijnlijk dus ook nog in voorraad van de eerste levering aan Conrad.
Anders gezegd: Bax-Shop is dus zéker niet duurder!
Wat betreft deze luidspreker: gewoon goed. ( ben overigens erg benieuwd hoe de app werkt i.c.m. iPad en 2 x de EON 612. App komt in april 2015)

Jammer dat de BAX-shop speakers heeft afgestuurd van verschillende productie.
De ene speaker is gemaakt in Mexico en de ander is gemaakt in China.
De speaker is overigens bij Conrad goedkoper dan bij de Bax-shop.
Reklamatie bij de helpdesk gaf geen bevredigend antwoord. Ik had overigens de bestelling wel met korting.
Maar toch het voelt als een sigaar uit eigen doos. Zal de volgende keer mezelf wel 10 keer bedenken of ik nog wel bij de Bax-shop wil bestellen.
