Since the ‘70s, Soundcraft has been known for their typically British, high-quality sound. The durable Soundcraft Signature 12 MTK analogue mixer also features this characteristic Soundcraft sound, as well as numerous functions and connectors, a solid construction, and USB multitrack functionality. The latter means that you can transfer the audio of 12 individual channels instead of only one stereo mix to your PC or Mac and back. You can do this using the included copy of Ableton Live 9 Lite.
The high-quality Ghost preamplifiers guarantee an excellent preamplification of your dynamic or condenser mics, and contribute to the unique, characteristic Soundcraft sound in combination with the Sapphire EQs. Apart from a 3-band EQ, each channel also features the possibility to add a professional-sounding Lexicon effect like reverb, delay, or chorus. Furthermore, the Signature 12 MTK features three monitor speaker outputs so you can adjust individual mixes via the three aux volume controls on each channel.
The biggest difference between the Signature 12 and the 12 MTK is that the standard Signature 12 does not feature multitrack USB. It has only six XLR/jack and mic/line channels, whereas the MTK has eight. Like its predecessor, the MTK also features the renowned dbx limiters on channels 1 and 2, as well as two channels that can be used as a stereo input. There is no need for DI boxes, since the Signature 12 MTK also features two channels that can be used as guitar inputs. A second addition is the subgroup that allows you to make a separate mix of one or more channels which you can transmit via two jack outputs. Record your stereo mix via the integrated USB interface on your PC or Mac.
Please note: Ableton Live Lite 9 makes 4-channel recordings, and does not have the capability to make full 14IN/12-OUT multi-track recordings. For full functionality, you'll need to buy the upgrade.
