General

The Yamaha MG16XU is a flexible and superb-sounding 16-channel analogue mixer equipped with a high-quality SPX multi-effect unit and a 2x2 USB interface. This mixer provides enough channels to play rehearsals and small venues, and each channel comes with its own 3-band EQ where the mid-range of the first eight channels is parametric. To guarantee fully-detailed sound supported by natural bass and bright, lush trebles, the MG16XU comes loaded with a set of phantom-power-ready, class-A D-PRE preamps.

The MG16XU: Every Bit Studio-Grade

Yamaha have outfitted this compact console with a 2-in / 2-out USB audio interface with a maximum recording resolution of 24-bit/192kHz. The audio interface is compatible with Mac and Windows systems, where channel 15 and 16 can be used to send sounds from your computer back to the mixer, and it can even be coupled up with an iOS device using an Apple Camera Connection Kit (not included) - a great solution for capturing fresh sounds on the fly. Also, while the Yamaha MG Series is quite extensive, the unique thing about the XU models is that they come loaded with renowned-studio-grade, SPX multi-FX including chorus, flanger, distortion, reverb and delay effects.
