General
The Mackie ProFX10v3 is a pro-grade, 10-channel effects mixer fitted with a USB interface for PC recording. Equipped with the high-performance GigFX Engine, this Mackie mixer packs 24 different, internal effects. With 4 microphone channels and 3 stereo channels with 3-band EQ, you're given every essential tool to create professional mixes. The ProFX10v3 is fitted with 4 Onyx Mic Preamps that supply the 4 mic channels with +48V phantom power, and there are Hi-Z switches on-board for guitars, basses and other instruments. In addition to phantom power, each mic channel has a 100 Hz low-cut filter that takes any interfering lows out of the signal.
Fitted with Onyx Mic Preamps & Compression
Every one of the microphone inputs of every mixer included in the Mackie ProFX v3 Series is regulated by the renowned Onyx Mic preamplifiers. These not only ensure the highest possible, studio-level audio quality and performance but provide consistently clean signal with an incredible amount of headroom and crystal clear sound, even from the most gain-hungry studio microphones. In combination with the Single-Knob Compression, input levels are kept in check while the maximum possible headroom per channel can be found with a simple adjustment. On top of this, it might go without saying that a touch of pro-level compression will polish any vocal performance whether live, recorded, spoken or sung.

Voor ons duo hadden we een mengpaneel nodig en onze keus is gevallen op de ProFX10V3.
Deze heeft alles aan boord om 2 microfoons een gitaar, basgitaar en beatbuddy drumcomputer te mixen.
Stevige behuizing en dito knoppen en lekker simpel te bedienen. Wat anders dan de rommelige sound die we daarvoor om onze oefenavonden hadden. Alles is fijn op elkaar af te stemmen ook de equalizers zijn lekker te regelen.
Zang en instrumenten kwamen goed helder en strak over.
Wij zijn er dik tevreden over.
En voor de prijs hoef je het niet te laten.

Fijn mengpaneel! Voelt degelijk aan, knoppen zijn 'sturdy' en fijn dat EQ, volume, effecten, mute etc. per kanaal te regelen zijn. Ook zijn de geïntegreerde preset effecten een mooie toevoeging en makkelijk te bedienen. Ruime opties qua connectiviteit. Verder is het paneel niet al te zwaar of te groot waardoor die makkelijk mee te nemen is. Door alle opties en het gebruikersgemak gebruik ik het paneel actief tijdens het spelen (bijv. de effecten). Zelf zou ik liever nog meer kanalen apart naar een computer willen kunnen sturen maar voor deze prijs zijn twee aparte kanalen naar pc al goed. Kortom: fijn paneel en goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

Het mengpaneel dat ik gebruikte bij repetities, werkte nog steeds heel goed, maar had eens zin in een upgrade. Sowieso zou het Mackie worden, omdat zij een van de betere spelers in de midrange zijn en omdat ik er reeds goede ervaringen heb met het merk.
Als ik beide paneeltjes vergelijk, heeft het nieuwe een moderner en heel clean geluid, de effecten klinken heel natuurlijk en de indeling is veel eenvoudiger. Het oude had meer routeringsmogelijkheden, die ik niet echt nodig had.
Brouwkwaliteit is heel goed, ziet er mooi uit en aangename knoppen. Wat wel teleurstellend was, is dat je via de interface enkel de twee eerste kanalen opneemt, en niet de mix. Dus zeggen dat je je repetities kan opnemen is geen verkoopsargument.
Als ik beide paneeltjes vergelijk, heeft het nieuwe een moderner en heel clean geluid, de effecten klinken heel natuurlijk en de indeling is veel eenvoudiger. Het oude had meer routeringsmogelijkheden, die ik niet echt nodig had.
