The Mackie ProFX6v3 is a compact, pro-grade analogue mixer with a USB interface, 48V phantom power and the GigFX Effects Engine. It's the perfect, all-in-one solution for a wide array of applications, such as band rehearsals, mobile PA systems, live streaming or karaoke while, with 6 inputs in the form of 2 mic/line inputs and 2 stereo line inputs, you're given a good amount of connection options. This mixer is just what I wanted, small, compact and from a well known brand.
I use it for karaoke nights, I have two wireless mics with one receiver plugged into channel one, 3.5 jack from laptop to the 3,5 line in socket on mixer, set the volume for channel 1 to 12 o'clock, volume for main out to 12 o' clock, then turned the up mic gain while singing into the mic to get a level on the meter just touching zero, then set up the music on channel 5/6 by setting level to 12 0'clock and brining up the volume on the laptop to have the indicator lights just about zero on the mixer, this gave me a good clean signal out to a pair of pole mounted active speakers,

Hij doet wat het moet doen en de algemene indruk is goed, de behuizing is inderdaad robuust en het geluid is prima, maar de knopjes haperen soms (Gain) voor thuis gebruik voldoende.

Komend vanaf een oud mengpaneel waarbij iedere ingang wel een beetje ruis aan het signaal toevoegde, zijn de microfoonversterkers van deze mixer echt een verademing. Je moet de UsB drivers van de site van Meckie halen. Deze site blinkt niet uit in overzichtelijkheid en in de handleiding die ik op internet vond, werd deze procedure ook niet beschreven.
In de productomschrijving hierboven staat dat er een compressor is ingebouwd, die je met een handige draaiknop kunt instellen. Helaas blijkt deze er niet te zijn, je moet de ProFX10 of hoger hebben om toegang te krijgen tot deze functie. Ik weet nog niet of ik dit jammergenoeg vind om het apparat daarvoor te retourneren, want over de functies die er wél zijn, ben ik meer dan tevreden.
De effects processor voegt overigens wél wat ruis toe, maar ik vind de effecten prima en meer dan genoeg voor mij.

Tout d'abord, pour relier l'alimentation électrique à la table, on trouve un pas de vis, gage de qualité (contrairement à toutes ces alimentations cheap qui ont du jeu au bout d'une cinquantaine de branchage et debranchage)
Le corps de la table a l'air solide dans l'absolu, et les potards et boutons Tres bien pour le prix. Ma note de 5 étoiles tient compte de son faible prix, sinon, pour le son, j'ai un léger bémol :
Sur une installation de sono (qsc cp8), la table de mixage ne provoque aucune perte audio. MAIS sur une chaine hi fi haut de gamme, la rajouter entre la source musicale et l'ampli, est source d'une deterioration du son perceptible pour une oreille fine.

NB les effets FX ne sont pas tous interessants, et surtout, ils ne concernent que les combo xlr/jack, c est a dire une seule entrée stereo.
NB sous linux, en reliant uniquement par le cable usb, je n'ai pas réussi à faire jouer le son de la pro fx en temps reel, mais le logiciel AUdacity peut en enregistrer le son, en créant une piste. donc on va dire que ça fonctionne, même si je sais pas encore l'exploiter au mieux.

Benodigd: Een simpele 2 poorts audio interface voor het opnemen van mijn synthesizer audio (Novation Circuit) op mijn PC (DAW).
Maar soms wil ik ook live audio kunnen maken zonder PC erbij.
Ik heb de meeste audio interfaces in de prijsklasse 100 to 200 euro vergeleken: Focusrite 2i2, Presonus AudioBox iTwo, M-Audio Air, Steinberg UR242, Native Instruments Komplete, Mackie Onyx Producer 2x2, Tascam US-2x2, IMG Stageline MX-2IO, Zoom U-24.
Ik kwam bij allemaal wel een technisch minpunt tegen, waardoor ik geen van de interfaces kon kiezen. Zo zijn sommige interface settings nu alleen nog te maken via software. Sommige merken hadden geen echte direct monitoring meer (alleen via DAW). En was direct monitoring wel aanwezig, dan was dit alleen mono output.
Opeens viel mijn oog op de Mackie ProFX6v3. Deze valt in de prijsklasse van een 2 poort audio interface, maar heeft 6 inputs. Deze audio interface heeft ook direct monitoring in stereo. En daarnaast ook nog een Effects engine met 24 effecten uit de ProFX range. Deze doet dus alles wat ik nodig heb en meer.
De behuizing is heel degelijk. De knoppen voelen erg solide en professioneel.
Ik gebruik Ableton Lite (geleverd bij de synth) en de Mackie ProFX werkte binnen 10 min. Alleen de universele Mackie ASIO driver (win) installeren vanaf de Mackie website.
De afgelopen week veel gebruikt en tot nu toe geen klachten.
Bijgeleverd Avid Pro Tools First en Tracktion Waveform OEM, maar werkt ook prima met Ableton.
Maar soms wil ik ook live audio kunnen maken zonder PC erbij.
