With 16 input channels distributed over microphone/line channels complete with +48 phantom power, mic/stereo and stereo-line channels, you have every input needed for an entire band, whether mixing a live show, rehearsal or live studio session. With the variable 3-band EQ and 100Hz Low Cut Filter included per channel, every minute detail of the overall mix is under tight control. Fitted with Onyx Mic Preamps & Compression
Every one of the microphone inputs of every mixer included in the Mackie ProFX v3 Series is regulated by the renowned Onyx Mic preamplifiers. These not only ensure the highest possible, studio-level audio quality and performance but provide consistently clean signal with an incredible amount of headroom and crystal clear sound, even from the most gain-hungry studio microphones. Really happy with the Mackie ProFX16v3 for the money. For me, it's been a balance of having lots of channels to space - 16 is about right for my set-up.
There were a few options on my shortlist, and having read lots of reviews, this was one of the few options where I felt more confident in quality and customer service. The build feels solid compared to others I've picked up and all the pots, buttons and sliders have a nice amount of resistance. The knobs that need to center have a nice sort of notch so you know it's in the middle, such as on the panning knob.
One of the main features I wanted was to be able to handle modular synth levels straight from the rig with no attenuation before the mixer and am pleased to say it is working well for me. Even 'hot' sawtooth levels had plenty off headroom to tame them. There are better ways of doing that with extra boxes or modules, but that's for another day. I've also used the Mackie to send and return from guitar pedals and utilised the sub-mixes.
The mic inputs sound lovely and clear on a Shure SM7B, but I do put a Fethead in there to boost it, utilising the 48v button in the process. It's a feature of that mic. This meant I didn't need to push the gain up massively to compensate, compared to other levels, or pull everything else down massively before taking back in sub/main mixes/DAW, while still leaving headroom.
The FX are okay - again, for the money, they're a bonus. I tend to use other units for FX which have more control through MIDI. However I have stuck a little of the Mackie FX on a few channels, freeing things up FX elsewhere. I quite like a little of the distortion on electronic drums.
Having the audio interface will be very handy. In an ideal world, I would have spent way more to get a 16 channel interface, but then I like to 'perform' recordings channel by channel for a bit more feeling on electronic bleeps and bloops, so this is perfect for now.
Only issue I had was that in the box, there was no UK plug/kettle lead. Luckily I had one to hand and the Mackie handles a range of mains voltages. Probably a slight oversight from bax.

Na jaren van Behringer mixers gebruik te hebben gemaakt, toch eens overwogen om een nieuwe mixer aan te schaffen. Na lang zoeken en natuurlijk ook naar de prijzen gekeken is mijn oog op de Mackie ProFX16V3 gevallen. Even hier en daar wat review op gevraagd en via YouTube diverse video's bekeken was ik overtuigd van de mooie kwaliteiten van deze mixer.
Ik gebruik hem voornamelijk thuis voor internet radio waar geluid een must is. De luisteraars willen natuurlijk geen bagger geluid horen.
De mixer biedt vele opties voor diverse aansluitingen zoals meerdere microfoons, tablets en telefoon.

Fijne tafel met veel routing mogelijkheden die ik daarvoor niet kende. Het toewijzen van en naar een subgroup, de prima ingebouwde effecten en de uitstekende geluidseigenschappen zijn te prijzen.
De effecten, 24, zijn prima te gebruiken. Wellicht minder goed in te stellen door het ontbreken van parameters. Echter ze voldoen uitstekend en zijn goed doseerbaar.
De USB geluidskaart is van hoge kwaliteit werkt goed en wordt snel herkend door de PC. Dit scheelt weer een extra kast.
Ik gebruikt de Mackie voor meerdere synth, effecten en connectie naar DAW en voldoet uitstekend. Fantastische upgrade van Soundcraft Spirit SE.
Ik dacht de main inserts te missen. Echter door routing van kanalen via sub 1/2..uitgang naar compressor en excister en weer terug te brengen naar een stereokanaal hebben dat opgelost!!

Produit très intéressant et très compacte.
Par contre, les boutons (knob) sont un peu petit et très rapprochés les uns des autres.
Je regrette que les 3 sorties auxiliaires étaient uniquement en mono et non en stéréo.
Gros point positif, le produit est livré dans une caisse très bien protégée.
