General
The Yamaha AD8HR is a member of the new generation of microphone preamplifiers and AD converters. It contains many innovative functions in its 19-inch housing, including outstanding sound quality and multiple analogue and digital inputs and outputs, making it an incredibly flexible device.
Sound quality of the Yamaha AD8HR
Preamplifiers play a crucial role in the end result of your recordings, especially in combination with an analogue-to-digital converter. That's why the AD8HR has a sample rate of up to 96 kHz and a clear sound quality.
8-channel 24-bit converter
This digital converter is equipped with eight XLR connectors and a D-Sub AES/EBU audio input in addition to all of the necessary digital audio inputs and outputs. It features an integrated high-pass filter for every microphone channel and phantom power for condenser microphones.
The gain, filter and phantom power can all be controlled from digital mixers such as the Yamaha PM5D, DM2000 and DM1000, making the YA8HR the ideal choice for a remote stage box, and because the AD converter connects with the mixer via an AES/EBU cable you don't have to deal with a jumble of cables.
