General

Yamaha's DZR12 is a 12-inch active speaker with top-of-the-bill SPL performance and immaculately clear sound reproduction. This 2-way speaker is powered by a class-D amplifier for a staggering total of 2000 Watts of power. The frequency range runs from 39 Hz all the way to 20.000 Hz and prepares the DZR for any music style or situation. Because it can be used in a 50-degree angled, flat position, this speaker works splendidly as a stage monitor too. Its powerful DSP processor enables you to fine-tune your sound in great detail but it's also possible to go with one of the built-in presets. Unique to the DZR12 is its (90-degrees) rotatable horn which allows you the adjust the sound dispersion angle, in case you find yourself a room with fluctuating acoustics.

Wrote the following about Yamaha DZR12 Active 12-inch Speaker, 2000W

J'ai acheté 2 DZR12 pour remplacer 2 enceintes large bande 15" The Box pro DSP115.
Les enceintes sont destinées pour la façade d'une petite salle de spectacle (associées à 2 caissons DXS18FLF en remplacement de 2 DSP18).
Dans le même budget, j'ai hésité entre 3 modèles: les DZR12, les NX-32A chez RCF et les ETX-12p chez Electrovoice.
Je n'ai pas pu effectuer d'écoute comparative pour me décider, j'ai donc demandé conseil à la rédaction du magasine SONOMAG qui a eu la gentillesse de me recommander les Yamaha pour l'utilisation souhaitée!
La comparaison avec l'ancien système est sans appel (ce qui est rassurant étant donné la différence de gamme )
Son clair et précis sur tous les points, on se rapproche des système professionnels de grande marque mais avec un budget nettement plus accessible et avec en plus la facilité de mise en oeuvre d'un système actif.
Avec la garantie étendue à 7 ans la rentabilité des enceintes est sûre d'être atteinte.
Pour le même budget il aurait été possible d'investir dans un système Nexo ou L-Acoustics d'occasion et ainsi passer sur une vraie gamme professionnelle, mais avec le risque d'avoir du matériel rincé par une utilisation intense et peut-être finalement un rendu sonore de qualité moindre...
