Tascam's answer to the Zoom Q3 and Olympus LS-20M is called the DR-V1HD. Ever since these products proved that a video recorder doesn't necessarily produce a bad sound, Tascam's engineers couldn't lag behind. The result of their efforts is equipped with a 1,280x720 HD camera that allows for high-resolution recordings.

Stereo microphones and adjustable quality of the recorder

The Tascam DR-V1HD is fitted with two microphones that are placed side by side for a decent stereo recording and allows you to choose between several quality levels that vary from 32 to 320 kbps. The DR-V1HD records either as a WAV or an MP3 file, which can then be stored on a micro SDHC card. To improve the sound quality even more, Tascam has equipped the recorder with a limiter and an adjustable high-pass filter.

Tascam DR-V1HD: HD recordings with a rotatable lens

The Tascam DR-V1HD can be used to make high-grade HD recordings. At a resolution of 1,280x720, excellent video quality is ensured. Recorded videos can be played back via your TV, using the HDMI connector, or can be transferred to your PC via USB 2.0. The lens of the Tascam, DR-V1HD can be turned by 180 degrees, so you can also use the recorder to record yourself.
