Wrote the following about Boss Katana Artist Gen 3 100W Combo Guitar Amplifier

Deze aangekocht als een all-in-one tool voor mijn elektrische gitaar.
Ik ben namelijk een akoestische fingerstyle gitarist die af en toe eens elektrisch speelt. Om deze reden wou ik geen verschillende amps, geen pedalen en een versterker die bovendien ook stil kan spelen.

Deze doet dit allemaal... en meer. Het Artist model klinkt aanzienlijk beter dan de standaard modellen, geleerd uit eigen ervaring.
Zowel ik als enkele vrienden geven zelfs de voorkeur aan deze amp boven de gebruikelijke tube amps om meerdere (gemaks)redenen. De versterker beschikt ook over alle aansluitingen die je nodig hebt.

Op het 'front facing face panel' zijn bovendien vele effecten en instellingen aanwezig, en dit aantal groeit exponentieel wanneer je de software erbij haalt.
Ik raad ook aan om de GA-FC EX footswitch bij aan te schaffen, alsook de bluetooth adapter.

Alles bij elkaar maakt dit een zeer goed klinkende versterker die extreem veelzijdig is voor relatief weinig geld.
Deze heeft ook een akoestische gitaar setting die meer dan goed genoeg klinkt voor te gebruiken met mijn akoestische gitaren.

Bovendien vind ik de Artist gen3 ook een merkbare upgrade over de laatste generatie (mkII) die ik had. Deze heeft enkele leuke extra settings zoals de 'pushed' setting en 'bloom' functie.

De nadelen zijn dat het Artist model toch weer direct een stuk groter en vooral zwaarder is dan de standaard katana modellen met uitzondering van de 212 katana.

Wrote the following about Boss Katana Artist Gen 3 100W Combo Guitar Amplifier

Enorm veelzijdig met geluiden en heeft een effect loop aansluiting (heeft Kat50 niet, die ik terug zond).. Er zit geen looper in en ook geen stemapparaat en een switchpanel GA-FC EX moet er praktisch gezien wel bij, ook thuis. De power amp is te verkleinen, ideaal voor thuis. Neem ook wel de Bluetooth uitbreiding voor meespelen ( als een usb-speaker) en ook voor instellingen wijzigen met je telefoon of tablet ( zonder kan wel, maar dan alleen met een usb-c draad naar de computer (Mac of Win). Lekker geluid!, Kost wat meer in de serie Katana maar hier krijg je geen spijt van.
