General

The active 8030C studio monitor by Genelec is the enhanced version of the 8030BPM nearfield. It's compact, but delivers an impressive amount of power as well as a broad frequency range, making it ideal for home studios and surround-sound systems, for instance. The housing is made of moulded aluminium. Combined with the Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW), this ensures an optimal balance of frequencies in spaces with particularly tricky acoustics. By connecting a compatible subwoofer to the 8030C, you can further expand on its low frequency range. Furthermore, this monitor has ISS (Intelligent Signal Sensing) functionality which shuts the unit off automatically after a period of inactivity, keeping energy consumption to a minimum.

Nog een kleine aanvulling. ik heb de 8030C geprobeerd in 3 verschillende ruimten in mijn huis.
Het beste resultaat is zondermeer in de kleinste ruimte waar ik met beide oren op 60-90 cm van de speakers zit. Dan is het audio spectrum verbluffend mooi en supergoed.
Gebruik je deze speakers in een kleine woonkamer als mains dan is het resultaat zeker teleurstellend.
Dit zijn echt speakers voor zeer precieze plaatsing op een klein bureau in een kleine ruimte dicht bij de oren.

Ronduit fantastische audio. Ik heb als hobbyist altijd gewerkt met Yamaha HS 80, Yamaha HS7 en Tannoy Gold 8. Was ik altijd heel tevreden mee.
Genelec is een ander klasse. Ik kan niet begrijpen dat uit zulke kleine speakertjes als de 8030C zulk hoogwaardig groot geluid kan komen. Ik kan in mijn oude mixen precies horen welke tekortkomingen relevant zijn. Met de kennis van nu had ik eigenlijk gewoon 10 of 15 jaar gelden 2 keer zoveel geld uit moeten geven aan monitor luidsprekers.
