What is a B-stock product?

A product becomes B-stock when it can no longer be sold as new. It can simply be a product that has been returned by a customer or it may have packaging that is damaged or missing. It’s possible that the product itself may show slight signs of use or damage too. All B-stock products are fully checked to ensure that they work properly and you can find details of why the product is a B-stock in the information above.

B-stock information

The B-stock tab on the product page shows information about the B-stock product. Be aware that this information supersedes anything you may read in the product description. The product description includes text and specifications about the product in its brand-new state. It’s possible that a B-stock item may be missing accessories mentioned in the text or specifications, for instance, but if so, this will always be mentioned in the B-stock information. B-stock products also include photos of the actual B-stock item so that you can see exactly what it looks like.

B-stock photos

The B-stock photos allow you to see the actual B-stock product you are considering purchasing. The photos show the following::

  • Photo of the brand new product
  • Photo of the B-stock product with packaging (if included) and any accessories
  • Photo showing the front of the B-stock product
  • Photo showing the back of the B-stock product
  • Photo showing any damage to the B-stock product (if applicable)

Original packaging

Packaging in good condition: undamaged (sticky tape residue may be visible)
Packaging damaged: box has dents, tears and/or holes
Packaging missing: replaced with a Bax Music box

State of product:

New: the product itself is new, but the packaging may not look new
Signs of use (no damage or scratches): smudges, fingerprints and/or dust
Scratches/damage: product has scratches and/or damage

Can I return a B-stock product?

Yes! Our 30-Day Trial Period also applies to B-stock products.

Do B-stock products come with a warranty?

Yes! Our usual Bax Music warranty also applies to most B-stock products.

General

Yamaha presents its redeveloped Revstar II line including the Revstar Standard RSS20. Like the previous models, here you are dealing with an electric doublecut, but the body is a touch larger and has been redesigned via Yamaha's own special Acoustic Design process. This means that the mahogany body has been cambered in specific places, allowing you to enjoy a more lively base tone, a lighter overall weight as well as better weight distribution on this guitar. The glued guitar neck is made of 3-piece mahogany and also features 2 carbon rods, providing unprecedented stability. By the way, you can safely store and carry this RSS in the included deluxe gig bag.

Revstar Standard RSS20: highly resistant stainless steel frets on a neck that feels like home

Whereas the body has a high-gloss finish, the neck has been given a silk-gloss finish for extremely comfortable playing. The 22 jumbo frets contribute to this and are made of stainless steel, ensuring that they are highly resistant to harder playing. In addition, they are extremely long-lasting and this Yamaha RSS20 will most likely never need a refret. With its 12-inch fingerboard radius and 41.9 millimetre nut, while playing guitar it will undoubtedly feel like coming home from the first fret on this modern, yet timeless doublecut. Your striking hand can rest solidly on the tune-o-matic bridge just in front of the stoptail tailpiece in between.

3 familiar humbucker sounds, 2 out-of-phase sounds plus a focus push/pull switch

To boost the resonant acoustic sound of the chambered body and the warm foundation of all mahogany parts, Yamaha opted for 2 humbuckers on this Standard model in the Revstar II series. To be able to go a little wider sonically, you have access to a 5-position switch. Besides the familiar guitar tones in position 1, 3 and 5, positions 2 and 4 offer a mixture of both pickups. Here, 1 of the 2 elements comes in delayed for 2 particularly useful out-of-phase sounds. Using the focus push/pull switch under the tone knob, you can double this sound palette with a slightly bolder boost in the low and midrange, where the highs come out a lot darker.

Yamaha Revstar Standard RSS02 Mist Green electric guitar with deluxe gig bag
