Designed by bassists, for bassists, the Unity Pro Bass Series U30 from Blackstar is a compact combo amplifier packed with a punchy 8-inch speaker. Next to a modern or classic bass sound, this amp offers you the ability to overdrive your notes with a third foundation sound, and even puts two ever-useful compression and chorus effects at your disposal to tighten up the tone or add a sweet atmospheric layer to it. Thanks to the 3-band EQ with special mid-frequency boost/cut, you're always assured of mix-cutting presence.

The Unity U30: Practical Outputs and Inputs

Via the Cab Link output, the Unity 30 can be connected to the active 250ACT bass cabinet (not included), while the line output with ground lift takes a jack or an XLR cable so that you can link up the Pro Bass U30 with your DAW. If you plan on taking the combo onto the stage, you may want to plug in a PA system, or an optional footswitch to toggle the overdrive and chorus. Blackstar top things off with a mini-jack AUX input, essentially giving you everything needed to pull the most out of your passive or active bass.
