The VOX VX50BA is a bass guitar amplifier combo that weighs a lot less than most other models thanks to its robust one-piece ABS chassis. In fact, it weighs just 4.5 kg, yet it is still capable of producing up to 50 watts of power and it has Nutube technology on board. The DIRECT output makes it easy to connect the VX50BA to equipment like a PA. There's a headphone socket too which comes in handy whenever you want to practise in silence. In terms of looks this bass amp combo doesn't disappoint either with a stylish red cloth behind the speaker grille matching the red control panel on top.

VX50: versatile sound

The VX50 features a 4-band EQ (bass, lo mid, hi mid, treble) that allows you to find the perfect tone for any style of music. There's a compressor on board too for a tighter sound with more sustain, while the DRIVE switch gives you extra punch with everything from subtle overdrive to full-on saturation. When the COMP and DRIVE switches are both turned on you get a unique sound that is a mix of overdrive and compressed cleans with the low frequencies left intact.
