The MX392 and MX393 boundary microphones belong to the "smart microphones" category. This is due to the microphones' many features, such as silent on/off switches that switch off the entire diaphragm and LED indicators. The necessary preamplifier is built into the housing, allowing you to get straight to work. The MicroFlex boundary microphones can be used in all kinds of applications, such as in churches, conference centres, courtrooms and in meetings. The microphone has only one switch for this purpose, but you can set it yourself using three modes: Push to talk, Push to mute and Push-on/Push-off function. This allows for greater flexibility, which of course is best used by everyone!

The microphones are available in different shapes and sizes, as well as with three different cartridges and therefore different recording patterns. Both the MX392 and MX393 are available in cardioid, supercardioid or omni-directional characters, so you can find the right solution for every situation. If you need little feedback, you should go for the cardioid or even the supercardioid. If, on the other hand, you prefer to hear everything that is said around the microphone, then the omni-directional variant is better for you! And even if you choose the cardioid but then want to enjoy the benefits of an omni-directional recording pattern, there's no problem: the cartridges are interchangeable and can even be ordered separately! This makes the MX392 and MX393 microphones very versatile, making them usable for many applications!
