General
The 17-inch Sabian Stratus Crash cymbal delivers a unique vintage sound that is also quite dark and almost trashy at the same time. The B20 bronze alloy and 'high impact hammering' technique result in crash with a very cool, modern sound that, oddly enough, is actually very all-round usable. The crash has a somewhat dark sound, but enough clarity to be usable within modern music styles. The short-to-medium sustain also helps with this, as does the traditional finish.
