General

Shine on stage with the new and improved Yamaha Stage Custom Birch shell set! Finished in Raven Black for a chic look, this 5-piece set has a pure rock configuration of one 22-inch bass drum, a 10 and 12-inch floor tom and a 14 x 5.5-inch snare drum. All of the shells are made of 100% birch wood for clear attack and a great, universal sound. A set of Yamaha HW-680 drum hardware completes the picture.

Yamaha Stage Custom Birch Raven Black: sturdy bass drum

Yamaha put a lot of thought into the stability of the bass drum when developing this drum set. Thanks to the special bass drum legs with stoppers, you know your set is going to stay put and that the bass won't be going anywhere. Die-cast claw hooks have also been added to avoid unnecessary holes in the bass drum, to the benefit of the overall fantastic sound of the Stage Custom Birch shell set.

Small details

Every detail has received Yamaha's attention with this set, and we can see that from the excellent YESS mounting system. This tom mounting system avoids direct shell-to-hardware for optimal vibration and a better sound. All hardware has been updated, and extra details include the Clear Ambassador tom drumheads and Powerstroke 3 bass drumheads.

HW-680 stands

As mentioned, this shell set comes with a high-quality stand set from Yamaha's HW-680 series. This sturdy set includes 2 cymbal stands with tilters, a hi-hat stand, a snare stand and a bass drum pedal.
