General

Drum kits obviously feature multiple drums, so you'll need multiple microphones to amplify them properly! The Shure PGA series contains a number of such microphones and this set is comprised to meet the basic demands of any audio engineer! It consists of one kick drum mic, the PGA52, one PGA57 for the snare and two PGA56 microphones for toms. The last two are delivered with clips for easy mounting, and the entire set comes in a practical soft case.

Shure PGA4 drum set: compact set

With this set you can properly amplify a drum kit. These microphone are developed specifically for this purpose and are great for close-miking! The PGA52 and PGA56 feature a fast transient response, which allows for optimal reproductions of percussive sounds. Wrote the following about Shure PGA4 drum microphone set

Een mooie set microfoons voor je drumkit. Het was in het begin even rommelen hoe het setje precies in elkaar klikt. Maar daarna konden we in sneltreinvaart beginnen met opnemen. Het geluid is bijzonder goed! Let er wel op dat er geen overhead microfoons bij zitten. Deze moet je dus los aanschaffen, of al in bezit hebben. Al met al zijn we erg tevreden met deze set.
