General
The legendary Shure SM57 microphone is top-notch and versatile. It is excellent for amplifying or recording electric instruments and delivers a crystal-clear reproduction of drums and percussion. Thanks to its cardioid pickup pattern, ambient noise is effectively countered so that the source is picked up at the front of this mic, with very little sound coming in through the sides. The SM57's frequency range of 40 Hz to 15 kHz has been optimised to meet the unique demands of instruments like harmonica, saxophone, horns, percussion and amplified (bass) guitar
and offers the same quality, reliability and user-friendliness you've come to expect from Shure. These qualities, in combination with its impressive specifications, make the SM57 the go-to mic for professional audio engineers and producers.
What's more, it comes with the X2U XLR to USB adapter so you can also connect it directly to your PC or Mac! The X2U enables you to transfer the signal easily - without the need for an interface - from the mic to computer, where you can proceed to edit, master and mix it. You're no longer limited to certain recording or USB mics - now you can use your favourite Shure microphone for digital recordings!
